The Cencora Impact Foundation and Good Neighbor Pharmacy® Announce 2024 Recipients of Scholarship Program
Winners will receive $25,000 per academic year to help advance diversity, equity and inclusion across the pharmacy profession
Conshohocken, Pa. (September 30, 2024) – Good Neighbor Pharmacy, a national franchisor for independent pharmacies and part of the Cencora Impact Foundation, the company’s independent, not-for-profit charitable giving organization, announced Megan Spicer and Muhanad Elhussein as the winners of the 2024 Good Neighbor Pharmacy Scholarship. The scholarship, which was established in 2023 to encourage diversity, equity and inclusion across the pharmacy profession, provides $25,000 in financial assistance annually for up to four years to pharmacy students. For the 2024-25 academic year, Good Neighbor Pharmacy partnered with the University of Maryland Eastern Shore’s Pharmacy Doctorate program, where Spicer and Elhussein attend as P1 and P3 students, respectively.

Each year, Good Neighbor Pharmacy and the Cencora Impact Foundation will select a different Pharmacy Doctorate program at a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) to support. All rising P1 students at that institution will be eligible to apply for the scholarship. The application for the 2025 scholarship will open in Spring 2025.
