According to the latest edition of the Atlas of MS, there are more than 900,000 people living with MS in the United States (US), with 24,924 new people diagnosed each year.1 While up to 10% of patients experience initial clinical disease manifestation before the age of 18 years,2 recent epidemiological evidence indicates an increasing incidence of the disease after the age of 50 years.3
